This black and white image was taken using a handcrafted pinhole camera. This image is of a bench and building on UW-Stout’s campus. The pinhole camera creates the bends and curves you see in the resulting photo. The image negative was developed in a dark room, and manipulated using Photoshop. This image reflects the use of lighting on metallic subjects. I used Easter themed Hersey Kisses as the subject. I really liked the eye-level angle I chose and the arrangement of the Hersey Kisses. This photo was taken on a white, curved plexiglass table with one light box. Location: UW-Stout light studio Camera: Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm lens on a tripod
This vintage image reflects the use of staging and natural lighting to give this porcelain flour container an ironic new purpose. The background and a small portion of the foreground were blurred using Photoshop to emphasize the subject. Location: My home Camera: Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm lens on a tripod
This chocolate truffle series reflects the use of staged lighting on different colored and textured subjects. I spruced up the truffles with raspberries, mint leaves, and coffee beans. This made the images far more interesting to look at. In order to give the images a more earthy feel, I used the back of a type tray (for printing) as the backdrop. Camera: Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm lens on a tripod

This duotone image reflects the use of shortened depth of field and staged lighting. What I particularly enjoy about this image is how the lighting makes the eyes the ‘pop’. This Image was cropped and manipulated using Photoshop Model: Andrea Camera: Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm lens.
This photo focuses on a single chess piece by having a shortened depth of field. What I particularly enjoy about this photo is it's use of contrast between the white chess pieces and the red background. I also like the new perspective you get from being eye level with the pawns Location: UW-Stout Camera: Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm lens on a tripod.
This photo was one piece to a three image baseball series. I love how the natural light brings out the details in the weathered baseballs, especially the stitches. This image was manipulated using Photoshop. Location: UW-Stout Baseball Field Camera: Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm lens
